Overview
An O-ring is an elastomer ring compressed in a groove to seal static and suitable dynamic applications. Size, groove geometry, squeeze, stretch, pressure, temperature, motion type, and fluid compatibility should be checked against ISO 3601 guidance and manufacturer data. Where a standard profile is unsuitable, molded elastomer, PTFE, polyurethane, or rubber-to-metal bonded seals can be engineered from approved drawings and material specifications.
