Overview
Thrust bearings carry load along the shaft axis. Thrust ball bearings are available in single- and double-direction separable designs and are not intended for radial load. Spherical roller thrust bearings can support very high axial load, a limited radial component, and misalignment. Final selection depends on load direction, speed, alignment, and lubrication.
